About the trip

We welcome you on a trip with us.

We start at the waterfront and make a short stop at Blix Hotel, where we receive our own packed lunch and water bottle. On the trip, we pass both Hopperstad Stave Church and Hove Stone Church, but we do not go inside the churches. Furthermore, we pass the burial mounds at Hove and other exciting things that the guide will tell us about along the way.

After a steep ascent, we stop for lunch and a foot break in Hovsåsen. From here, you have an incredible view over the village and out to the fjord. On the way back to the center, which is called Øyri, we pass through a rich agricultural landscape that was shaped after the last ice age.

After the trip, we hope that you leave with a memory for life, and that you appreciate Vikjabygda as much as we who live here do.
