All our tours and events start at Vikøyri or Vik Tourist Information. It is possible to book the tour as a round trip starting from the Strandkai terminal in Bergen, or one can come to Vik on their own.

If one wishes to travel to Vik in other ways than by fast boat, the alternatives are:

Car

Traveling by car provides a high degree of flexibility and the opportunity to stop along the way. The usual route goes via Voss and over Vikafjellet. The trip normally takes between 3 and 3.5 hours, depending on traffic and weather conditions. In winter, the mountain pass may be delayed, and it is recommended to check traffic reports before departure. One can check traffic reports via vegvesen.no and/or vikjavev.no

Train and bus

It is possible to travel by train and bus from Bergen to Vik, usually with one or more transfers, recommended via Voss if traveling directly from Bergen. The travel time is typically between 3 and 5 hours, including waiting time, etc. The bus is an environmentally friendly and affordable option for travelers without a car. Check entur.no for travel options. entur.no for travel alternatives.
