Sylvringen was established in 2016, originating from the restoration of the Refsdal power station from 1913. After this magnificent building was saved from decay, there was a desire to showcase the results to the public.

One saw that it was not arranged to be able to visit all the historical gems that exist in Vik. Admittedly, Hopperstad Stave Church and Hove Stone Church had good visitor numbers, but all the other interesting sites were hidden and forgotten by the public.

With this in mind, the development of the company progressed slowly. They started with bus tours and have since established partnerships with national and local actors.

In recent years, we have offered tours to visiting tourists and cruise passengers from all over the world.

Today, Sylvringen AS has many knowledgeable guides who take visitors on tours and share the rich history and unique attractions that Vik has to offer. We provide guiding in Norwegian, English, and German.
