Sylvringen was established in 2016 with background in the restoration of Refsdal Powerplant erected in 1913. As this beautiful building was salvaged from decay, one wanted to show the result to the public. One found that it was not facilitated to expose all the historic gems in Vik to the public. Obviously the Hopperstad stavechurch and Hove stonechurch had many visitors, but all other historically important objects were more or less hidden for the public. With this in mind the Sylvringen guidecompany was taking form. We started with bustours and have since expanded to service companys as GoFjords and cruise traffic. We have experienced local guides that shows our visitors the rich history and unique attractions Vik has to offer.
